Stainless Steel 309 Sheets, Plates and Coil

The stainless steel with the UNS S30900 designation, commonly known as Alloy 309, was developed specifically for applications requiring resistance to corrosion at high temperatures.
The alloy maintains its non-cyclic condition even when heated to 1038 degrees Celsius (1900 degrees Fahrenheit). Frequent cycles of poor thermal oxidation resistance at around 1850 ° F (1010 ° C), using high chromium and nickel content 309 1832 ° F (1000 ° C), may result in an environment of sulfur due to alloys. Carburising is not recommended with this alloy.

It has only a modest level of resistance to carbon sequestration, making it suitable for use in very harsh conditions. Alloys that include 309 have the potential to become somewhat oxidised and to perform segmenting and thermal cycling tasks, but doing so will result in a decrease in the maximum temperature at which they may be used. The hardness level may be restored with a treatment at temperatures ranging from 1100 to 1150 degrees Fahrenheit (1100 to 2102 degrees Celsius) because alloy-charged sigma phase precipitation occurs at temperatures ranging from 1202 to 1742 degrees Fahrenheit (heated between 650 and 950 degrees Celsius).

The cost-effective Stainless Steel 310S Perforated Coils we offer can be made into either flat or long products, and the surfaces of both products can be hot-rolled, cold-formed, or coated. However, because it has a high chromium concentration of 25%, SS 310 Plates are more corrosion-resistant than most heat-resistant alloys. These plates must also maintain their dimensions throughout the hardening and tempering processes.
