About Cupro Nickel 70/30 Flanges
Grade 70/30 Cuni is an alloy of 70% copper and 30% nickel. Iron and manganese are additives to the alloy, primarily copper and nickel. The Copper Nickel 70/30 Flanges are slightly more corrosion and erosion-resistant thanks to these elemental additions. Additionally, grade 70/30’s tensile strength characteristic is somewhat better than grade 90/10’s. Grade 70/30 Cuni is thus ideally suited for more demanding applications. A Copper Nickel Alloy 70/30 flange’s ability to resist corrosion is significantly enhanced in high-velocity flows and contaminated saltwater. 70/30 alloy at cryogenic temperatures, flanges are known to resist hydrogen embrittlement and maintain their mechanical characteristics. Due to its flexibility and strength, Cu 70/30 Flanges are used in the maritime, offshore, shipbuilding, chemical, and petrochemical industries and in the construction industry. These Cupronickel 70/30 Flanges maintain their exceptional quality and durability at higher temperatures. These Flanges provide extraordinary oxidation resistance in moist air and steam.
Properties of Copper Nickel 70/30 Flanges:
Although the manufacture of the component or product is held to very high standards, the class of 150, 300, 600, 900, 1500, and 2500 LBS DIN 2.0882 mentions Copper Nickel 70/30 Flanges in sizes ranging from about 12 to 12. Copper Nickel Cu-Ni 70/30 is the grade that is being utilised here (UNS C71500). The major types include plate, screwed, threaded, and forged, and the requirements include ASTM A213, ASTM A269, etc. Due to the component’s mechanical and chemical characteristics, which have significantly boosted durability. The material is being put through various circumstances and tests, including mechanical testing for area tensile, lab analysis, flattening test, and micro and macro test, among others. The corrosion resistance properties significantly increase when exposed to contaminated saltwater and fast-moving waters. These flanges quite resist assaults from phosphoric, sulfuric, and mild organic acids.
It can also withstand dry and wet chlorine and carbon dioxide at room temperature. These flanges are subject to biofouling at low speeds, but they are far more resistant to assault from steam and fresh water.
